Day 1

Day 1: Nairobi/Amboseli

Depart Nairobi the “place of cool waters” in Maasai language on a scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro the tallest mountain on the African continent and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. You will be met at Amboseli airstrip by your guide in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle. Enjoy a short game drive in the park on the way to Tawi Lodge for refreshments and check in to your cottage. Tawi Lodge is set under the umbrella shade of the enormous Tortilis Acacia trees and offers uninterrupted views of Kilimanjaro and wetlands where animals come to drink and play. It offers a fantastic experience to enjoy your favourite drink while witnessing the life of the big elephants playing in the mud in front of the lodge. Tawi Lodge offers stylish accommodation comprising of luxurious cottages all facing Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 2

Amboseli National Reserve

Today enjoy game drives in this magnificent park in specially adapted open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle. These custom-built vehicles provide the perfect way to view huge variety of wildlife found in this world famous game reserve. Amboseli comprises of grove of acacia trees and golden savannah plains and its unique location at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro combined with its excellent opportunities to view wide variety of wildlife makes it one of the most visited game parks in Kenya. Amboseli has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro’s ice cap which funnel into two clear water springs in the heart of the park. With grasslands crossing Kenya and Tanzania border, this park is renowned and a popular choice to get close to large herds of free-ranging African elephants. There are over 900 elephants in Amboseli as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffe, lion, monkey, zebra, buffalos, jackals, hyena and antelopes. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and the park's Observation Hill provides some of the most magnificent sunsets over Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3

Amboseli/Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled direct flight to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Met upon arrival at OL Kiombo Airstrip by your driver guide and enjoy a short game drive on the way to Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp for check in to your tent. Iconic Kichwa Tembo is situated on the western border of the game rich Maasai Mara National Reserve in a private concession. In addition to the excellent year round concentration of wildlife, access to the private conservancy allows for bush walks, night drives, bush dining and sundowners. The camp is set overlooking on to the open plains of the Maasai Mara, the most outstanding game sanctuary in Kenya and home to the most plentiful and diverse wildlife. Kichwa Tembo is situated on the edge of the Oloololo escarpment where a riverine forest and the vast plains meet, providing an authentic African wildlife all year round with the Great Migration being witnessed just outside the camp. Day 4

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Whole day game drive in Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries and punctuated by marshes and forests. The park is renowned for its huge population of lions and is home to all the “big five” and supports the highest density of wildlife to be seen anywhere. It is the most famous safari destination in Kenya and here, you will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopard, antelopes and elephant. Visit Mara River where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual "Great Migration" between Tanzania and Kenya. The migration is today one of the natural world’s most astonishing phenomena. Each year nearly two million wildebeest and accompanying large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant's gazelle, Impala and Thompson's gazelle trek from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara and back again in search of fresh grazing. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah, lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal and hyena. Viewing these vast herds on the move is always unforgettable sight.

Day 5

Maasai Mara/Wilson Airport/Nairobi

Early morning game drive this morning will give you the last chance to view lion, cheetah or leopard hunting before dawn. After breakfast you will be transffered to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi. 1215hrs, Met at Wilson Airport and transffered to Four Points Hotel by Sheraton located within Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your overnight stay before flying out to Kigali, Rwanda next morning. Four Points offers an ideal stopover for clients on the move to their next destination. It comprises of elegantly furnished rooms appointed with coffee/tea makers, music system and en suite bathrooms. Other facilities include spa, wellness centre and jacuzzi. The hotel features two restaurants: Marketplace on ground floor is a contemporary restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining on the terrace and offers international cuisine. Day 6

Nairobi, Kigali_Rwanda, Volcanoes Mountain Ranges

You will be transferred to JKIA to board your flight to Rwanda. Upon arrival in Kigali you will be met at the airport by your Safari Guide and assisted with arrival formalities before boarding your 4x4 safari vehicle. Embark on City Tour of Kigali that will include a visit to the Genocide Museum. After lunch depart for Volcanoes National Park, northwest of Rwanda. Overnight at Bishop's House in Musanze which is set just a few minutes from the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park. Bishop's House is a tranquil elegant retreat set amongst beautiful gardens. The nearby mountains and dense jungles of northern Rwanda are home to endangered mountain gorillas, making it the perfect base from which to discover these incredible and majestic great apes. Day 7

GORILLA TREKKING EXPEDITION/KIGALI

Breakfast and depart for Volcanoes National Park gate for trekking briefing session. Here you will be lectured briefly on ‘Dos’ and ‘Don'ts of gorilla trekking and how you should behave upon finding the gorillas. It’s important to note that we use specially trained local guides to make sure that all gorilla treks are authorized, safely regulated and within boundaries set by various wildlife foundations and the government. The Gorilla trek can last for several hours and the hike through the forest is challenging but within reach for anyone with reasonable level of fitness. After sighting the gorilla family you will be allowed an hour to observe their behaviour and take photos. The trekking experience is unforgettable, magical and life-changing and worth it despite some discomfort. Thereafter trek to the Park Headquarters to collect your certificate before heading back to Bishop's House. After lunch drive back to Kigali arriving late afternoon. You will be dropped at Park Inn by Radisson Hotel for your overnight stay. Day 8

Kigali/Mwanza/Central Serengeti

After breakfast you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport to board your scheduled flight to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. After a brief stop in Mwanza on the shores of Lake Victoria for Customs/Immigration formalities, proceed on with your journey arriving Seronera Airstrip in Central Serengeti at mid day. Welcome to Serengeti National Park which is home to over 70 larger mammals, approximately 500 different types of birds and the largest migration of land animals on the planet. At the airstrip, you will be met by your dedicated safari driver guide and transferred Asanja Moru Camp for check in.
Asanja Moru is a luxury Bush camp located amid Rocky Islands known as the Moru Kopjes inside the Serengeti National Park which plays host to the most amazing wildlife spectacle in East Africa. This exclusive camp provides an authentic bush camping experience in an area best known for its enormous herbivore migration led by over a million wildebeest and zebra. After lunch it’s time for classic game viewing in your 4x4 safari vehicle, later returning back to the camp before sunset for dinner.

Serengeti National Park

Today enjoy game drives in the Serengeti which is internationally renowned as one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world and home to incredible herds of wildebeest and other grazing animals. Serengeti in Maasai language means “endless plains". Located in north west of Tanzania, Serengeti is the ultimate ‘wildlife show’ on earth and best known for its unequalled natural beauty and diverse wildlife. It supports a magnificent diversity and abundance of animals from the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino to giraffe, impala, kongoni, topi and eland. Serengeti’s unique combination of diverse habitats enables it to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds. Its landscape originally formed by volcanic activity has been sculptured by the concerted action of wind, rain and sun. It now varies from open grass plains in the south, savannah with scattered acacia trees in the centre, hilly wooded grassland in the north to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Small rivers, lakes and swamps are scattered throughout and it's particularly famous for its predators that include lion, cheetah and leopard and others such as serval cats, wild dogs, jackals and spotted hyenas.

Day 10

Serengeti/OL Dupai Gorge/Ngorongoro Crater

Early this morning witness a spectacular sunrise over the endless rolling plains of the Serengeti as you drive from the camp and embark on whole morning game drive. This will give you the last chance to view lion, cheetah or leopard hunting in the early hours of the morning before daybreak. Breakfast and depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. On the way stop at Oldupai Gorge for a brief tour and picnic lunch. Oldupai Gorge (originally misnamed Olduvai Gorge) is the most famous archaeological location in East Africa. Oldupai is an important place in the world for the study of human origins and human evolution. It’s here at that that the remains of the earliest humans were found making Africa the “Cradle of Mankind”. After lunch proceed to Ngorongoro Crater arriving Sanctuary Ngorongoro for overnight stay. Sanctuary Ngorongoro is set in a delightful ancient acacia forest on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater and offers superb accommodation in spacious canvas tents ensuring intimacy in pristine forest environment. The camp is located right on the crater rim valley close to the access road into the crater giving guests unrivaled access to the crater floor.

Day 11

Ngorongoro Crater Safari/Karatu

Awake before the crack of dawn for continental breakfast and drive down to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater for whole morning game drive. The crater is the best place in Tanzania to see all the "Big 5"and is one of the world’s most astonishing and renowned natural wonders. Ngorongoro is home to a large assortment of animals including zebra, buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, hippo and elephants; and an amazing population of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard. After lunch depart for Karatu arriving at Farms of Dreams Lodge on time for dinner and overnight stay. Farm of Dreams is located the Western south Slopes of Ngorongoro Crater in a garden of flowers and vegetables. The warm and cozy rooms overlook the surrounding hills, tropical gardens and the bedrooms open up to a terrace that is furnished with a table and chairs. For your appetite, the resident chef will excite you with the best of Tanzanian and International cuisine. Karatu/Arusha/Departure

Morning at leisure to enjoy endless views of this lovely lodge's beautiful surroundings and ever-green gardens. After breakfast drive to Arusha arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
