Reservations and Payments for Confirmed Bookings
Once safari booking is confirmed and Confirmation Invoice is issued to the client, we will take 25% of the total invoiced amount as deposit. Final payment will fall due 60 days before the date of travel.
Payments by Credit Cards
We can accept payments online by credit card (Master Card & Visa only) with additional 4% of the total invoiced amount as bank transaction/credit card fees.
Booking Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is dictated upon by the fact that hotels, lodges, regional airlines and other fully contracted local service providers will charge us cancellation fees if a booking is cancelled or amended. Any cancellation fees charged is aimed at minimizing the financial impact on our business and on our partners. But as a company, we will take every reasonable step at our disposal to minimize or eliminate if possible, these cancellation charges on our clients.
Changes to a Confirmed Booking
Every effort will be made to operate safaris/bookings as planned, but alterations may occur due to some very unavoidable circumstances. We reserve the right to cancel a booking or any part of it and to make such alterations to the booking as we deem necessary or desirable and we reserve the right to pass on to you any expenditures or losses caused by delays or events beyond our control.
Cancellations are subject to the following penalties of the full trip price and are only effective on receipt of written notification:
Accommodations: All quoted tour prices include accommodations based on double occupancy. There is a supplemental fee for single occupancy accommodation. In some lodges children of certain age are not permitted. Clients will be advised accordingly.
Meals: All meals and any drinks included will be clearly stated in the Final Confirmation of Safari Arrangements document.
Baggage: You may take along two normal size pieces suitcases not exceeding a total of 15 kilos per person. On charter flights within East Africa, baggage allowance may be less and soft bags are recommended. Arrangements can be made for safe storage of extra luggage while on safari. Laundry facilities will be available on safari at minimal extra cost.
Gratuities, Taxes and Entrances Fees: Charges for hotel taxes are included, as well as game park entrance fees and to all wildlife conservancies included in the itinerary. Tips for safari driver guides, waiters, porters and escorts are not included and are at the client’s discretion.
Not Included in Quoted Tour Prices: The following items are not included in quoted safari prices: costs of obtaining passports or visas; personal expenses such as beverages, laundry and room service; gratuities to your safari escort, camp staff, driver-guides; excess baggage fees; communication charges and airport departure taxes.
Travel/Medical Insurance: It is mandatory for each member of the travelling party to have comprehensive Travel/Medical Insurance to cover trip cancellation or curtailment, cancelled flights, medical expenses, emergencies, personal accident, lost luggage and loss of money. Travel Insurance must be arranged and obtained immediately after paying the deposit. Any claims or refunds as a result of any of the above circumstances will be handled by your Travel Insurance providers.
Limitations of Liability: Africa Safari Classics, its owners, agents and employees give notice that they act only as agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all related travel services and assumes no responsibility whatsoever for injury, personal illness, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: act of God; detention; annoyance; delays; expenses arising from quarantine; strikes; thefts; pilferage; force majeure; failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled; civil disturbances; terrorism; government restrictions or regulations; and discrepancies or changes in hotel services in which it has no control.
Africa Safari Classics, Its local operators reserve the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of passengers which includes but is not limited to: the substitution of hotels, alteration of the itinerary and reversing the order of the places to be visited. Africa Safari Classics and its local operators, their tours and/or suppliers of services and other cooperating agencies reserve the right to refuse individuals from a safari without refund who acts in a manner which is unsafe to themselves, inconsiderate or unsafe to fellow travellers, and/or who ignores the requests of their guide (s) to act in a safe and responsible manner.
Africa Safari Classics: Hereby notifies all our clients that any matter or cases relating to any tour is subject to and governed by the rules and laws of the country to which it takes place and not in any other country.
Travel Risks: Africa Safari Classics draws your attention to the fact that there are certain inherent dangers involved with adventure travel in Africa and the fact that each client accepts them at his/her own risk.
