Impact Ecotourism Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Africa Safari Classics created principally to support our Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Its a non-profit enterprise that was recently established to develop and forge strategic partnerships with Community Based Organisations (CBOs) in the neighbourhood of National Parks, Game Reserves and Private Wildlife Conservancies with prime focus on Conservation, Community, Culture and Commerce. Impact Ecotourism is a genuine initiative to intergrate social. community and environmental concerns in our daily business activities and processes in order to ensure harmony and sustainable use of resources for tourism that benefits everyone.
CONSERVATION: Impact Ecotourism Ltd will spearhead collaboration with Government agencies, Community Based Organisations (CBOs) & Groups to conserve wildlife, especially threatened species, protection and care of the environment. This will be achieved through supporting enactment of relevant laws, education in public meetings, organising seminars and discussions with community leaders. Impact will mobilise resources from our partners, clients and other like-minded organisations to motivate and offer incentives to local groups to support and particepate fully in all conservation progams and efforts.
CULTURE: Impact Ecotourism will work together with the local communities to preserve and protect important traditional cultural practises, values and beliefs. Impact will work closely with local tribal chiefs, village elders and heads of families to ensure that clients visiting local villages appreciate local cultural practises and customs. Impact will make sure that income generated from entrance fees to these villages, other donations and sales from merchandise is used for the benefit of all and to support education for school going children, health and general well-being of the entire community.
COMMERCE: Impact Ecotourism will support the local community's business initiatives by providing means, information and access to affordable credit from various organisations. Impact will offer business training opportunities, advice on access to markets both local and overseas for community products and will strive to ensure fair pricing and profitability for community merchandise such as beads, jewellery, ornaments, bracelets, necklaces, belts and traditional baskets.

The Team Leader & Lead Safari Consultant : My name is Maurice, Your Africa Safari Specialist & Team Leader and Lead Consultant here at Africa Safari Classics working as Sales Director for Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Rwanda, Uganda & Indian Ocean Islands. We are based at Karen Plains Arcade in the quiet suburb of Karen in the outskirts of Nairobi. My passion for travel developed many years ago when I accompanied my father who was a Senior Chief on long journeys in Kenya on tour of duty, visiting relatives, friends and just exploring new exciting places. That experience set the tone for my future career in Travel Industry. Today, it’s always my joy and happiness when I meet, interact, serve and make friends with new people from different parts of the world. After successfuly completing British system "A" Levels (High School) in Kenya, I was very lucky to join Kenya Utalii College, an International Swiss Government sponsored college in Nairobi for my Diploma in Tourism Management. Today, Kenya Utalii College is a UNECSO recognized and accredited Centre of Excellence in training of professionals in Hotel and Tourism Industry in Africa. Upon graduation, I worked as Customer Service Representative with United Touring Company, (UTC) at that time the leading Tour Operator in East Africa and later Thomson Holidays and British Airways Holidays ground operations in Kenya. After gaining valuable experience in Customer Services, I moved into the office and worked as Product Development & Marketing Manager at UTC and later for many years as founding Safari Sales & Reservations Manager at Porini Camps. During my period of service at UTC, I studied for and obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Sales Management from The Chartered Institute of Marketing in UK and later acquired Bachelor of Science honours degree in Tourism Management from United States International University, USIU. My professional background in all aspects of Tourism Management and Marketing & Sales both locally and oveseas, diverse knowledge, wide travel industry connections and experience gained over the years has enabled me to lead a determined team of seasoned professionals who are passionate and committed to your satisfaction and ensuring value for your money.
