Arusha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park & Ngorongoro Crater


Day 1: Arusha/Tarangire

Depart Arusha by road to Tarangire National Park arriving for lunch at Maramboi Tented Camp. Enjoy afternoon game drive to view huge variety of wildlife found in this area. Tarangire National Park is the fourth largest National Park in Tanzania and its very diverse habitats, supporting an equally rich variety of mammals, birds and flora, make it a delight to explore. Magnificent 1000-year-old giant Baobab trees punctuate the park and large herds of elephant andd other game seasonally swell the large numbers of game. Overnight Maramboi Tented Camp. Maramboi is located along the shores of Tanzania’s Lake Manyara, amidst the Rift Valley and overlooking the breathtaking Oldonyo Mountain. Maramboi Tented Camp is only 18 kilometres from Tarangire National Park and is set on a magnificent 25000 hectare conservancy. Maramboi consists of 20 luxurious raised tents, encircled by the luxurious serenity of Palm Trees, which boast picturesque vistas of the landscape. Each tent comes equipped with its own private verandah, guests can sit back, relax and soak up the view of flamingos in Lake Manyara or try to catch a glimpse of the wildlife roaming the plains beyond the shores of the lake

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Today enjoy full day game drive Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch. Lake Manyara National Park is renowned for its tree climbing lions and offers a truly remarkable and most intimate wildlife experience. Vast herds of elephant and buffalo, thousands of flamingos, cheetah, Maasai giraffe, impala olive baboons, Sykes monkeys, hippo, Egyptian mongoose and many more. Incredible sightings are set to be discovered during game drives. Overnight Maramboi Tented Camp

Day 3: Lake Manyara/Serengeti

Breakfast and depart for Serengeti National Park arriving for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Overnight Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp. Mbuzi Mawe Camp is scenically located in a glade, known as “the place of the klipspringer” “Mbuzi Mawe” and along one of the main annual migration corridors for over one million wildebeest, half a million zebras and gazelles, and their accompanying cast of predators. Mbuzi Mawe is a place of infinite calm, surrounded by untamed majesty and offers a timeless blend of classical safari rusticity and world-class guest accommodation

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Today enjoy early morning, mid morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is internationally renowned for the greatest wildlife spectacle on the planet. Located in north west Tanzania, Serengeti is the ultimate ‘wildlife show’ on earth and best known for its unequalled natural beauty and diverse wildlife. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth. Serengeti’s unique combination of diverse habitats enables it to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds. Its landscape, originally formed by volcanic activity, has been sculptured by the concerted action of wind, rain and sun. It now varies from open grass plains in the south, savannah with scattered acacia trees in the centre, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Small rivers, lakes and swamps are scattered throughout

Day 5: Serengeti/Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast and depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. On the way stop at OlDupai Gorge for a brief tour and picnic lunch. Oldupai Gorge (originally misnamed Olduvai) is the most famous archaeological location in East Africa. Oldupai is an important place in the world for the study of human origins and human evolution. It’s here that that the remains of the earliest humans were found, making Africa the “Cradle of Mankind”

After lunch proceed to Ngorongoro Crater arriving Exploreans Lodge late afternoon. Overnight Explorean Lodge. Ngorongoro Exploreans Lodge is set in 50 acres of virgin Tanzanian bush in the Ngorongoro volcanic landscape, this all suites wood log cabin style retreat is features 20 spacious private log cabins with fire place, a restaurant, a bar and swimming pool

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Full day crater safari with picnic lunch. Overnight Exploreans Lodge. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world and shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens anywhere in the world. Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World and hosts the most unique ecosystem on earth with 20,000 large grazing mammals and the largest concentration of predators

Day 7: Ngorongoro/Arusha

Breakfast and depart for Arusha arriving for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. Thereafter transfer to the airport for your onward departure flight
