Day 1: Nairobi / Amboseli

Amboseli Serena Lodge Depart Nairobi the “place of cool waters” in the Maasai language by road, arriving Amboseli National Park for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge which enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national reserve, providing very clear and uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later in afternoon, head out for a game drive returning back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Amboseli National Reserve

Today enjoy early morning, mid morning and afternoon game drives in this magnificent park located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Amboseli comprises of grove of acacia trees and golden savannah plains and close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro providing sources of water to huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game.

Day 3: Amboseli / Aberdares Mountains

Treetops Lodge Early breakfast and drive back towards Nairobi and head to the Aberdares ranges arriving at Outspan hotel for hot lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Treetops Lodge for overnight game viewing. Treetops Lodge is nestled deep in the forests of Aberdares National Park lies in the path of an ancient elephant migratory route between the Aberdares Mountains and Mount Kenya and is strategically located right in front of a watering hole and salt lick. The forest is home to many wildlife species that include elephant, rhino, warthog, bush pig and giant forest hog, waterbuck, duiker, bongo and reedbuck.

Day 4: Aberdares / Samburu

Samburu Game Lodge Early morning tea or coffee before heading back to Outspan Hotel for delightful English breakfast. Head north to Samburu Game Reserve located in the Northern Frontier District. Arrive for lunch at Samburu Lodge, located in a rugged landscape, against a backdrop of jagged mountains offering natural scenery of mountains and a meandering river.
Later in the afternoon, proceed for an afternoon game drives in the expansive Samburu Game Reserve.

Day 5: Samburu Game Reserve

Whole day spent at the Samburu Game Reserve with game drives. Samburu plays host to large herds of elephants. Other unique wildlife specifies are also very common sightings in this part of the wilderness. The Uaso Nyiro River is a great point of concentration and interest to both visitors and wildlife. It forms the lifeline of this great reserve and most animals cannot keep away from it as they come to quench their thirst from the river.

Day 6: Samburu / Great Rift Valley

Lake Nakuru Lodge Early morning tea or coffee before heading to the Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive in this world famous wildlife habitat offering a wide ecological diversity, from lakeshore, woodlands, grassy plains to rocky escarpments and ridges.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara

Ilkeliani Tented Camp Leaving the Great Rift Valley behind, you will head out to Masai Mara, which is world famous and Kenya’s premier game reserve, arriving for lunch at Ilkeliani Tented Camp which is nestled in a river glade in an area favourite for elephants coming to drink from the Talek River. After a warm welcome and delightful lunch, embark on a game drive with your driver guide in Maasai Mara the ancestral home to the Masai people.

Day 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today enjoy game drives in the Mara that will include visit to the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual migration between Tanzania and Kenya. The annual migration sees over a million wild animals move from Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

Day 9: Masai Mara / Nairobi

Breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off either at your Nairobi Hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
