Chobe, Selinda Reserve, Okavango


Day 1: Maun-Chobe

Savuti, ElephantsThis Maun Livingstone camping safari is a budget and semi-participation mobile safari. It will take you through Moremi, Savuti, and Chobe national park. The perfect budget safari to experience the wild side of Botswana national parks. These safaris are cheaper and more budget orientated due to the numbers per safari. It is not always 12 people, but in season time it is common to have 12 individuals joining us on these safaris.Arrive Maun, Botswana and fly to Chobe National Park. You will be met at the airstrip by your professional guide and transferred to Chobe Chilwero Lodge over looking Chobe National Park. Chobe National Park located in northern Botswana was the first national park in the country and has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

By size, it is the third largest park in the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Gemsbok National Park, and is the most biologically diverse Afternoon lodge activities. Overnight at Chobe Chilwero.

Day 2: Chobe National Park

Aptly and fondly known as ‘The Land of The Giants’, Chobe National Park in the north of beautiful Botswana is home to Africa’s largest elephant population and comprises more than 10,000km2 of rich ecosystems, diverse landscapes and an almost unparalleled abundance of wildlife and birdlife all centred around the stunning Chobe River, and in close proximity to a number of Southern Africa’s other safari must-sees.Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It’s known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.Full day Chobe National Park. Activities booked for you include early morning and afternoon game drives in 4×4 safari vehicles, boating trips on the Chobe River and excellent bird watching trips. Overnight at Chobe Chilwero.

Day 3: Chobe – Selinda Reserve

Enjoy morning activities before breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip and fly to Selinda Camp in The Selinda Reserve located near the Linyanti Area. Overnight Selinda Camp which overlooks a seasonal water way linking the Okavango Delta with the game rich floodplains of the Linyati Swamps.

Day 4: Selinda Reserve

Whole day Selinda Reserve which is characterized by its game-rich floodplains that play host to a variety of bird life antelope, zebra, cheetah, wild dog, lion and dry season elephant concentrations. Nocturnal species could include serval cats, porcupine, springhare and leopard.

Day 5: Selinda – Okavango

Little Kwara Camp

The sky slowly lightens and then turns dark orange, with groves of magnificent borassus palms thrown sharply into silhouette against the onset of dawn… Sunrise at Selinda Camp is nothing less than spectacular and to be savoured as only life-changing memories can. Set in one of the most pristine wilderness areas left on our planet, the Selinda Camp rests on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway in northern Botswana’s startlingly beautiful and remote 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve. The Selinda Spillway is an ancient waterway which flows in two directions, weaving its way as it links the far-reaches of the vast Okavango Delta in the south with the Linyanti wetlands in the west, receiving water from both. Further west is the Savute Channel, Chobe and the mighty Zambezi. North lays Namibia’s Caprivi Strip and Angola…Enjoy morning activities before breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Little Kwara Camp. Little Kwara Camp is located on the edge of the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta. The Conservancy shares a common boundary with Moremi Game Reserve. Overnight at Little Kwara Camp.

Day 6: Okavango Delta

Enjoy variety of guest activities that include all year round mekoro trips, boat cruises; island nature walks as well as day and night game in 4×4 safari vehicles.Overnight at Little Kwara Camp.

Day 7: Departure

Transfer to the airstrip for your departure flight back to Maun where you will connect with your flight to Johannesburg.
