Day 1: Nairobi / Masai Mara

Your journey begins from Nairobi, the “place of cool waters” in Maasai language as you head to Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is Kenya’s best game viewing spot owing to the nature and concentration of wild animals. Arrive for lunch at Ilkeliani Tented Camp which is nestled in a river glade in an area favourite for elephants coming to drink from the Talek River. After a warm welcome and delightful lunch, embark on a game drive with your driver guide in Maasai Mara, the ancestral home to the Maasai people. Masai Mara National Reserve is  the most famous wildlife habitat in Kenya. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland.Wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Overnight at

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today enjoy game drives in the Mara that will include visit to the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual migration between Tanzania and Kenya. The annual migration sees over a million wild animals move from Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Overnight at

Day 3: Masai Mara / Great Rift Valley

Breakfast and continue on with your journey to the picturesque Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge, located on the shores of Lake Naivasha which is a freshwater lake and is home to an incredible variety of bird species. This afternoon enjoy a relaxing boat ride and visit to the Crescent Island. Here you will get to see wildlife that include giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, eland and many gazelles in very tranquil environment. Overnight at

Day 4: Naivasha / Amboseli

 

This morning after breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Reserve for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge which enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national reserve, providing very clear and uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later in afternoon, head out for a game drive returning back to the lodge for dinner. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. Overnight at

Day 5: Amboseli National Reserve

Today enjoy early morning, mid morning and afternoon game drives in this magnificent park located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Amboseli comprises of grove of acacia trees and golden savannah plains and close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro providing sources of water to huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game. Day 6: Amboseli / Tsavo

Breakfast depart for Tsavo West National Park arriving for lunch at Kilaguni Serena Lodge which is superbly set and sheltered by the volcanic splendour of the Chyulu Hills. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. This is a park with a whiff of legend about it, first for its famous man-eating lions in the late 19th century and then for its devastating levels of poaching in the 1980s. Despite the latter, there’s still plenty of wildlife here, although you’ll have to work harder and be much more patient than in Amboseli or the Masai Mara; the foliage is generally denser. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Day 7: Tsavo West National Park

Whole day spent in Tsavo West with game drives. Tsavo is an amazing park and contains a diversity of habitats, wildlife and very attractive and scenic mountainous landscapes. Visit Mzima Springs which is very attractive lake located in the northern side of the park. Mzima Springs is a set of crystal-clear ponds, fed by the melt waters of Mount Kilimanjaro, in which many hippos can be viewed from a submerged chamber. Overnight at

Day 8: Tsavo West / Nairobi

Breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off either at your Nairobi Hotel or at the airport for your departure flight
