Day 1: Nairobi / Amboseli

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge Depart Nairobi the “place of cool waters” in the Maasai language by road, arriving Amboseli National Park for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge which enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national reserve, providing very clear and uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive returning back to the lodge for dinner.Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. DAY 2: Amboseli National Reserve

Today enjoy early morning, mid morning and afternoon game drives in this magnificent park located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Amboseli comprises of grove of acacia trees and golden savannah plains and close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro providing sources of water to huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game. DAY 3: Amboseli / Great Rift Valley

Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge The Great Rift Valley is a name given to the continuous geographic trench, approximately 6,000 kilometres (3,700 mi) in length, that runs from Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley in Asia to Mozambique in Southeastern Africa. The name continues in some usages, although it is today considered geologically imprecise as it combines features that are today regarded as separate, although related, rift and fault systems. Breakfast and continue on with your journey to the picturesque Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge, located on the shores of Lake Naivasha which is a freshwater lake and is home to an incredible variety of bird species. This afternoon enjoy a relaxing boat ride and visit to the Crescent Island. Here you will get to see wildlife that include giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, eland and many gazelles in very tranquil environment.Early breakfast and drive back towards Nairobi and head to the Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive in this world famous wildlife habitat offering a wide ecological diversity, from lakeshore, woodlands, grassy plains to rocky escarpments and ridges.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru / Naivasha

Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge

An enormous geological fault-line, the Great Rift Valley divides Kenya neatly down the length of the country, separating east from west. Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru are 2 of the many lakes that have formed in the region. Along the lengths of the Rift Valley are volcanoes, most now dormant. Lake Nakuru has become a national park and supports a wide ecological diversity. It is home to large protected flocks of lesser flamingoes, which turn the lake a vivid pink. It is also famous for it pelicans, black and white rhino, colobus monkeys, as well as, numerous antelopes, buffalo and giraffe.

Early morning game drive. DAY 5: Lake Nakuru / Maasai Mara

Leaving the Great Rift Valley behind, you will head out to Maasai Mara, which is world famous and Kenya’s premier game reserve, arriving for lunch at Ilkeliani Tented Camp which is nestled in a river glade in an area favourite for elephants coming to drink from the Talek River. After a warm welcome and delightful lunch, embark on a game drive with your driver guide in Maasai Mara which is the ancestral home to the Maasai people.Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland.Wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve.Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).Your journey begins from Nairobi, the “place of cool waters” in Maasai language as you head to Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is Kenya’s best game viewing spot owing to the nature and concentration of wild animals Overnight: Ilkeliani Tented Camp, Full board


DAY 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Today enjoy game drives in the Mara that will include visit to the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual migration between Tanzania and Kenya. The annual migration sees over a million wild animals move from Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Overnight: Ilkeliani Tented Camp, Full board


DAY 7: Maasai Mara / Nairobi

Breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off either at your Nairobi Hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
